  1. To those of you saying that you should always use PNG over JPG in this case: You are completely right! JPG can cause compression artifacts and is meant more for photos.

Apart from that, hope you enjoyed the video! 🙂

  2. Please help even when I changed the Image Interpolation into to Nearest Neighbors (preserve hard edges) still get blurry when I resize it, what to do?

  3. for some reason i finished my first tile saved it then quit photoshop, I then created a new project with all of the settings and now all of the colors are very light, for example i tried even the darkest black to paint on, and it shows as a very light grey, does anyone know an answer to this? It would be appreciated very much!

Solution: Ok, I figured it out, if you right click while you are using the pencil tool there should be 3 different little squares with a pencil symbol in each, change it to the third one, and it works!

  4. here is a solution if mac users cant find preferences in edit is because you have to go to the thing that says photoshop on the top left, then preferences. Hope this helps!

  5. my pixels are completely ofcentered.. 🙁

When i paint one its like inbetween in 4 diferent pixels from the grid.

  6. "How to make Pixel art"

Step 1. Buy Adobe Photoshop but realise that ur broke so u dont buy it and try to find a free photoshop program but u cant find any so u go to ur room and cry in a corner till u go to bed and forget about everything

  7. For anyone facing issues with the pixels not matching up, while using the same settings as Brackeys did. Change the settings Pixel grid line every: 4 pixels and 4 subdivisions. Hit Ok, then change it back to 1 px and 1 subdiv.. And it should work.

  8. HERES A TIP FOR ANYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE PHOTOSHOP:
-Almost all students get all of Adobe Cloud products for free
-If you don't get it for free, there's always Piskel (my favorite alternative, great for animations) and Pixlr is basically photoshop.
    Hope that helps!

  9. Great video, can be helpful indeed as I design my own 3D and Pixels products here https://www.pinterest.com/PixyFoly
